The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC), under the Patna Smart City Project, is transforming the traditional funeral experience at Bans Ghat into a streamlined, high-tech, and dignified process. With an investment of ₹89.40 crore, this 4.5-acre facility is designed to blend spiritual traditions with modern convenience, ensuring that grieving families are not burdened by logistical chaos.

Smart Booking System: Families can now book slots in advance via a dedicated WhatsApp Chatbot (9264447449), an online portal, or a 24/7 helpline. This system aims to eliminate long waiting times and provide real-time slot availability.

After logging into the online portal using a mobile number and OTP, users must fill in the details of the deceased. Following this, a slot can be booked by selecting the type of crematorium. The facility includes electric and wood-based cremation ovens. Additionally, spaces have been designated for those who wish to perform cremations in the traditional manner. Once a booking is made, a confirmation message will be sent to the family member's mobile phone via SMS. Following the completion of the last rites, both the Death Certificate and the Burning Certificate will be issued online.
