The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has published a notification regarding the release of the NEET PG Admit Card 2026. The admit card is available from 28-08-2026 for download on the official website and the examination date is 30-08-2026. After downloading admit card candidates are request to read all the instruction mentioned in the admit card.
NEET-PG is an eligibility-cum-ranking examination prescribed as the single entrance examination for admission to various MD / MS and PG Diploma Courses as per Section 61(2) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 read with Chapter IV of Post Graduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023. No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to MD / MS / PG Diploma courses. Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry to MD / MS / PG Diploma courses under various Universities / Institutions in the country. NEET-PG is mandatory even for foreign nationals seeking admission in medical courses in India.
The Government of India established the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) in 1975 with the objective of improving the quality of the Medical Education by establishing high and uniform standards of postgraduate examinations in modern medicine on an All India Basis and utilizing existing healthcare infrastructure for capacity building. Candidate may kindly note that appearance in NEET-PG does not confer any automatic rights to secure a Post Graduate MD / MS / DNB / Direct 6 years Super Specialty / NBEMS Diploma seat. The selection and admission to postgraduate seats in any medical institution recognized for offering Postgraduate MD, MS, DNB, Direct 6 years Super Specialty, or NBEMS Diploma seats, will be conducted according to the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019, and the Postgraduate Medical Education Regulations, 2023 and its amendments thereafter. Admission is contingent upon meeting the specified criteria, including eligibility, medical fitness, and any additional requirements set by the NBEMS, relevant universities, medical institutions, or state and central governments.
